Crappers interview for Vice in english :
FF : Why did you decide to work with me on “Crappers”? Haven’t I kicked your ass in “War & Penis” already?JR : We had a lot of fun with War+Penis. I think we were looking for another project to do together. This one seem to happen pretty naturally on Facebook. I can’t remember who instigated it. I think I did?FF : Don’t you think it’s weird for a guy who only wears death metal tee-shirts to make an entire book about rappers? What do you like about those guys? JR : Yes, it’s very weird to like more than one type of music. I’m not sure what draws me to it. I think I’ve always appreciated the trash talking element of rap. It’s like wrestling in a sense.FF : As a guy that lives in the US and who makes fun of gangsters-rappers for 70 pages in a row, do you now fear to get your nice white ass kicked if you ever cross their path? JR : As I’m very away from them, I don’t.Thank you for calling my white ass nice.FF : One of the drawings featured in “Crappers” got you banned from Instagram earlier this year, so you lost all of your Internet-friends all at once and you began a long, painful depression right after. How are you doing on the Internet those days, Johnny?JR : Yes, that’s true. It was the drawing of Ice-T tea-bagging a penguin at gunpoint. Things are still pretty tough for me internet-wise, but I’m gonna make a big comeback very soon, you’ll see.FF : You and I began this rappers’ battle last year on Facebook. Isn’t it puerile for us, 40-years old guys, to keep trying to make our friends laugh on social networks? Are we shitty, Johnny?JR : Shitty all the way to the bank.FF : This “Crappers” book initially has to be released by the same publishing house than “War & Penis” but the guy who used to own it sold the company, left his country and remade his entire life as a lumberjack in Scandinavia just because the first tome sold like 5 copies in the entire world. Do you feel sorry for the guy, Johnny?JR : Haha Poor Tim Small. Rest in peace, bro.FF : As a consequence, the book is being released by Timeless, a great yet 100% French publishing house. As a normal American guy who hates 100% of the Froggies, do you feel ashamed to be paid by them?JR : I’m being paid?FF : I noticed that somehow you and I decided to draw less penises than in “War & Penis,” without even really wanting so. Is it due to a real wish of yours or only because the book features less pages?JR : We stopped because you said you couldn’t think of any more rappers to make fun of.FF : You and I are keep sharing pokes and jokes on Facebook right now, but do you have any idea of any other common project with me in a near future? If so, what could it be about?JR : We should do a fanzine about your favorite nü-metal bands, like Linkin Park and Mudvayne.FF : You know that I’m doing Krav-Maga on a daily basis and I know that you’re having gym classes with a horny guy with a mustache. When are we beating the shit out of each other IRL?JR : You sure beat the shit out of the English language, Fred.
